PRAGUE The Golden City PRAGUE Guided sightseeing includes the Astronomical Clock and the Hradčany Castle grounds. Stroll around the exquisite grounds at Hradčany Castle, considered to be the world’s largest ancient castle complex.

It reached notoriety during WW2 when it was designated to be a Prisoner of War Camp for Allied Officers. Due to its location Field Marshall Göring declared it “escape-proof”, he was soon proved wrong when many daring escape plans were hatched, including the building of a glider! Over 170 attempts were apparently made, but only 32 men actually escaped.

LEIPZIG–NURENBERG–MUNICH Rebuilding tradition NURENBERG Walking tour includes the Old Town. After the war it was completely rebuilt, restoring to their original charm the characteristic medieval streets of the old town with the half-timbered houses. The Old Town is also home to traditional sausage restaurants that have been serving the Nurenberg sausage since the 15th century.
